Please read the following FAQ for help.

You must register an account on www.pac.ie, and submit an application online. All documentation must be submitted online via your PAC account. Do not send documents via email or post as these will not be accepted.
Yes, you can save the application from at any time by selecting save progress.

PHN applicants are allowed one programme choice (Public Health Nursing) and three institution choices (which should be preference-ranked). If you want to apply for another postgraduate programme within PAC, you must apply via PAC to the institution of your choice. This will necessitate another separate application fee.

Midwifery applicants are allowed one programme choice (Higher Diploma in Midwifery) and four institution choices (which should be preference-ranked). If you want to apply for another postgraduate programme within PAC, you must apply via PAC to the institution of your choice. This will necessitate another separate application fee.

All application fees must be paid online with a debit or a credit card.

Applicants using webmail email addresses, please note if you have the high junk mail filtering option in your email account, emails from the Postgraduate Applications Centre, the HSE and the other Institutions may be flagged as Junk. You will need to either reduce the Junk mail filter or else add the Postgraduate Applications Centre (info@pac.ie) and the HSE (hse.ie), UCC (ucc.ie), UCD (ucd.ie) and NUI Galway (nuigalway.ie) to your safe senders’ lists. If you are still not getting emails, then you should contact the Postgraduate Applications Centre directly at 091-549260.

PHN: These documents must be uploaded to your PAC account. Do not send documents via email or Post as these will not be accepted.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Certificate (if applicable). Applicants whose first language or primary language of expression is not English must provide evidence that their English language ability meets the required standard for admission. The minimum required score is 7.0 on the IELTS assessment test. The test must have been completed in the last two years. For details of these English Language Proficiency Tests, see http://www.ielts.org/. An A4 (or equivalent) size copy of the IELTS document must be sent by post to the Postgraduate Applications Centre with your Postgraduate Application Number. The original document should not be sent as it will not be returned by PAC.

Academic Transcript or APEL document An academic transcript is a document from a college or university showing final marks (total and/or per module) achieved and awarded. Candidates must demonstrate that they have undertaken a programme of study at NQF, academic level 8. The academic transcript provided will be used as evidence to demonstrate this, which should be for the highest level award. If you do not hold a level 8 qualification (honours degree or higher diploma level 8) or you are unsure if your academic qualification is at level 8 or equivalent, see http://www.nqai.ie or http://www.nfq.ie, you must complete and submit an Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) Document

Please note that there will be additional documents required at interview stage for candidates who are invited for interview.

You must read and accept the content of the General Declaration and if you wish you can download the declaration for your own information. Do not post this declaration to Postgraduate Applications Centre.

The completed, signed and stamped as appropriate, HSE supplementary forms and the HEI supporting documents must be scanned and uploaded to your application or emailed to pachelp@pac.ie quoting your Postgraduate Application Number to arrive no later than 5.00 pm Friday 22nd March 2019. Do not send documents via post as these will not be accepted.
No, you must complete an online application. You will need a working email address to use this facility as all correspondence with regard to your application will be communicated to you by email. If you do not have access to a personal computer or at work, maybe try a relative or a friend. Internet facilities should also be available at your local library or at an Internet cafe.

In addition to a credit Card, payments by Visa and Laser, there is also the option to send payment by Bank Transfer, payable to Postgraduate Applications Centre, with an extra processing fee of €5. Therefore, the total cost of a non-Credit Card payment is €55. We do not accept personal cheques

However, please note that your application will not be processed until the date the Postgraduate Applications Centre receive your application fee payment. Payments by Bank Transfer should be made immediately after submitting your online application. Paying at a later date is possible, by a debit or credit card costing €50.00 or by bank transfer costing €55.

Yes, applicants can partially complete the additional questions for a course choice and click on SAVE ANSWERS and return to complete them later. The ADDITIONAL SUPPLEMENTARY questions are final once the applicant agrees to proceed to the payment option of the online application. In addition to saving the additional questions answers, the applicant should also save the first page of the online application before exiting the application completely (see FAQ 4 above). To return to complete the application again, applicants login to PAC and click on Application Status and select Continue application.
